Your Responsibilities:
Grow Awareness: You’ll engage with consumers at promotional events and samplings to share Southern Tier’s story and responsibly introduce customers to our products through trial & salesmanship.
Increase Distribution: You’ll establish relationships with key stakeholders at Southern Tier as well as their business partners to learn of placement opportunities, display amplification and sampling/experiential events.
Build Brand Affinity: You’ll marry memorable experiences with Southern Tier products to engage with our target audience and gain loyal consumers that give our brands a permanent space in the fridge!
The Details:
- Program Stipend: $1,000
- Program Duration: September – December
- Time Commitment: Varies, averaging ~5 hours a week

Are you the right fit?
- Must be 21 or older
- A strong interest in marketing, business and entrepreneurialism
- At least a 3.0 GPA
- Passionate about craft beer and/or consumer products
- Strong communication skills, particularly public speaking
- Possess an eager, outgoing, energetic and confident personality
About Southern Tier Brewing Company
First opened in 2002 just outside rural (and breathtaking) Lakewood, NY, Southern Tier Brewing Company was founded on a vision of reviving a long and rich small-batch brewing tradition in its immediate region of Western New York/Western Pennsylvania. And while it’s clear that the envisioned revival was realized years ago, Southern Tier continues to take its devoted fans’ beer-drinking experiences up a notch with a range of sophisticated offerings focused on rich, delicious flavors.
What began with a base lineup of four beers — the IPA, Pilsner, Mild and Porter — has grown to include nearly 40 varieties ranging from flavorful IPAs like the 2XIPA family to renowned Pumking Imperial Pumpkin Ale, indulgent Blackwater imperial stouts and easy-drinking blondes. And from its humble beginnings in a brewing facility nestled in the woods near Chautauqua Lake, the brand with a once-small footprint has now developed into a world-class craft beverage maker with distribution covering more than half of the United States and tap rooms located in Lakewood, Buffalo, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Charlotte. Further, its lineup has grown to span segments including craft beer, spirits, and canned cocktails.
